For the moment, no. In March 2026, we will release a new device that will make the bridge between Prostart starting gates (Portable gates, 100% electric track gate and pneumatic track gate) and also our Nik-Nak PROSTAND.
This device will replace the “START” pair of cells to get the timing starts from the electrical signal of the gate control box or Prostand sensor.
This device will be able to purchase separately.
Until then, you can simply put the “START” pair of cells close to the gate so the gate active the signal.
No ! You can use WST system at peak daylight without any issues.
The cells are very easy to use with the infrared technology. There is no precision needed to align each timing gate. Point the sender towards the receiver and the signal will read.
The sender and receiver can be up to 12 meters apart (40 ft)
We still recommend to stay within the 8 meters range in order to not play with the limit and more easily install the pairs of cells.
Range will differ depending on environmental conditions and line of site. Under good conditions, you can expect up to 145 meters of range between a receiver and the WSTBOX.
Yes ! As long as you well install all your devices on the tripod with the USB-C charger at the lowest point. After use, make sure to clean everything to remove any humidity mark.
In connecting to the free PROSTART app, you can record all your times, manage and export them as spreasheet for deeper analysis.
The app is not required to begin timing sprints because we have built-in displas to show the results. But to track your results and access to more timing features, you will need to connect with a mobile.
Yes ! As our devices include lithium batteries, you have to take them directly with you. (No checked bag)
